dc.description.abstract This study aims at examining the attitudes and perceptions of the young Bulgarian generation regarding the concepts of individual economic security, trust in government, and national security as well as the correlations between them. An exhaustive literature review has been carried out in order to explore the dynamics of each of the concepts and to build on a platform, upon which to compile a questionnaire. The obtained data from the questionnaire serves to test four basic hypotheses that highlight the relations between economic security, trust in government, and national security. Eventually, a positive correlation between economic security and national security, with the mediation of trust in government, is underlined and statistically proven.|Keywords : individual economic security, bond of trust, trust in government, national security, basic social security, work-related security.
