dc.description.abstract The properties of concrete interrelated with the resistance to fire and high temperatures are investigated for the preparation as well as the experimental evaluation of refractory concretes with correlation to the theoretical basis. Plain and special concretes prepared with shamotte, silica powder and crushed firebrick are exposed to high temperatures and their compressive strengths are determined after cooling. The cost analysis of the samples is included to investigate the economic aspects and the possibilities of industrial application.
