dc.description.abstract The purpose of this hesis is to determine the effects of atmospheric particles on electromagnetic wave propagation. Especially, the atmospheric conditions are very important at the millimetric waves. The scattering and absorption cross-sections are calculated for single particle, and then the same process issgenerilized for an arbitrarily oriented single particle in the atmosphere by means of Euler Angle Rotation. After calculation of scattering and absorption cross-seetion, in general, the expressions of attenuation of electromagnetic waves are computerized as a function of rainfall rate. It is shown that preciyitation affaects the millimetric waves very much. We have to determine the effects of atmosphere clearly to help engineer design more realistic system.
